Nettipattam
Nettipattam is a Kerala traditional handicraft and it is used to decorate elephants in the time of Poorams and other festivals. Nettipattam is a glittering ornament that keeps on the forehead of an elephant. The gold color of the traditional Nettipattam makes it an eye-catching item during the festivals of Kerala. It is also used on the walls of our houses, which gives a elegant touch to our décor.
It represents the entire pantheon of gods in Hinduism. Each bubble depicts pancha-bhoothas thrimoorthies, navagrahas, ashta-vasus, saptarishis, moola-ganapathi etc. Believe behind Nettipattam is that it brings prosperity, peace and blessings in life.
